Joy Raub
Joy Raub began her training at the Canton Ballet when she was three years old and continued studying ballet and modern dance until 2008. While there Joy performed in such leading roles as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker, Odette in Swan lake and Fairy Godmother in Cinderella with special coaching by Laura Alonso as well as many other contemporary ballets and choreographers - Angelo Lemmo, Caro Surrico, Mary Giannone, Heather Gray and Joe Istre.
Joy spent her summer training at various dance intensives including Craft of Choreography in Seattle, WA, American Ballet Theatre in Detroit, MO and Ballet Met in Columbus, OH. Joy attended Mercyhurst in Erie, PA in 2009 as a dance major where she performed various solos, including a leading role in Bournonville’s La Konservatoriet with special coaching by Vivi Flindt. Joy performed as a professional guest artist for Christ in the Arts in Lubbock, TX, and most recently for the Love Concert in Canton, OH.
Joy has taught classes locally and is also a licensed Zumba instructor. She is excited to start off this new year with her students.
